Parts of Bryanston, Rivonia, Lonehill, Douglasdale and Paulshof have been without water since Wednesday 19 September 2018.
Rand Water’s statement is that the level of water at the Bryanston water tower is too low and is currently closed. Water vehicles are supplying water at certain shopping centers.
Cracked water pipes are apparently one reason for the low levels, but it is also bad planning and maintenance that should be blamed.
