On Monday afternoon, 24 July 2017, Netcare 911 responded to reports that a baby had been found in a dumpster in the Pretoria Gardens area.
Reports from the scene indicate that paramedics were called after the baby was found wrapped in several plastic bags in a dumpster.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the female fetus was still attached to her placenta.
Tragically there was nothing that paramedics could do to help the lifeless victim. Documentation pertaining to her death was completed by Netcare 911 and handed over to authorities at the scene.
The SAPS were called to the scene and they are investigating the incident.
