Attempted house robbery and shooting in Muldersdrift

On December 29, 2016 at about 20:15 the Drift Reaction control center received panic alarms as well as a WhatsApp report that clients on Driefontein Road, Muldersdrift were attacked by four gun wielding suspects.

The suspects shot at the clients from the outside and the clients returned fire! Well, we are sure the suspects did not expect this at all and they fled.

Thank God the clients were not injured although very shaken after the ordeal. The Iron Fist Squad K9 Unit reacted within no time and started hunting.

A few minutes later we received a call from another resident on Driefontein Road who reported that suspects were on the roof of her house!

The IFS K9 Unit as well as Tactical Units reacted and were soon joined by the SAPS Special Task Force. Unfortunately we suspect the suspect either saw the oncoming lights or heard the lady making the call and fled before we arrived.

Shortly after this incident another client pressed their panic button when they too had noticed movement on the same property – just at another house.

The gang must have been really surprised to had someone shoot back at them and we are truly grateful that our clients were not shot.

The Law is clear on this one – you are allowed to defend yourself when your life is in eminent danger. Well done to our client!
