On Saturday night 2 November 2019, at about 19:20, six suspects arrived at Blyvoor Shopping Center in a silver Polo. The suspects reversed parked their car near the entrance to the supermarket and wandered around the center for about 18 minutes before announcing an armed robbery at 19:38.
Several shots were fired by the suspects and one security guard got grazed by a bullet, no other injuries reported.
The suspects robbed the supermarket and liquor store and got away with cash and valuables to the value of about R50 000. All six suspects escaped in the silver Polo into Blyvooruitsig Village.
