Just after 22:00 last night 27 September 2018, the Drift Reaction cc control centre received a call for urgent assistance from the client. He reported that there had been an armed robbery on his property.
Tactical Units were dispatched and on arrival they found four traumatised employees. They said they were overpowered while two of them sat outside their rooms talking. The next moment five armed suspects came around the corner and told the two men to keep quiet and hand them their cell phones and cash.
They forced one of the men into his room, ransacked the room and took a cell phone and cash. They kept on threatening to kill them. They took the other man into his room and also took valuables. They then went to a third room where they found a female in bed under blankets.
They asked the men where the rest of the money was and when they denied that they had more cash, the suspects pulled the woman out of the bed and started beating her underneath her feet with a hammer. They took turns to beat the one man over his hands and her under her feet.
The woman eventually handed them more money and the five fled.
The victims received medical assistance. SAPS Muldersdrift was dispatched and attended to the scene.
