Front National would like to express our sincere condolences with the family of Mrs Destiny Newberry of Johannesburg.
The body of the 73 year old mrs Newbury was discovered in an open field, about 4 km’s from the Senatus retirement home where she lived. Mrs Newberry was beaten with a blunt object before she was stabbed to death. Her car and purse was missing.
The car was recovered by the police from a house in Khutsong late yesterday. Mrs Newberry’s former gardener, in whose possession the car was found, claimed that the car was a “gift” to him by mrs Newberry.
This terrible incident urges us to reiterate our call on elderly people: Be careful! Do not trust the gardener or the domestic servant too much. Many of these attacks and murders are committed by people known to the victim.
We hope that the family of mrs Newberry will find consolation from our prayers as a nation in this time of bereavement.
