The Agriculture Expo which this year made its debut at KragDag – in cooperation with TLU SA – was a massive success. The annual KragDag event was hosted for the 11th time at the Diamond Valley Estate, east of Pretoria, between 8 and 10 August. This brainchild of HP Steyn and his team is the leader in renewable energy and independent power utilisation in South Africa and the biggest Afrikaans expo of its sort, in the world.
The Landbou Expo offered a wide variety of presentations and activities related to farming in the two agriculture halls. The expo also boasted a slaughter lamb competition and the regional championships of Toyota Auctioneers.
“TLU SA is highly impressed with this year’s KragDag event,” says Mr Louis Meintjes, the President of TLU SA. “We are very excited about the potential of the agricultural aspect and is convinced it will reach even more heights in future.
“We would like to give a big word of thanks to the organisers and everyone involved with planning this great event. We are also thankful to every visitor who contributed to making KragDag one of the highlights on the annual Pretoria calendar,” he says.
The rate of visitors to KragDag this year increased to 21 400. The Agricultural Expo got much attention and offered useful solutions and ideas to many existing, prospective and small-scale farmers.
