Tshwane Police led by District Commissioner, Major General Daniel Mthombeni continued with operation O Kae Molao on the streets of Tshwane by tracing and raiding wanted suspects on the night of 3 May 2019.

The intelligence driven operation led to the arrest of more than ninety wanted suspects. The operations focused mostly on the drunk and driving and suspects wanted for serious crimes such as robbery, hijackings, possession of unlicensed firearms, dealing in drugs and murder.

Police closed nine liquor outlets in Tshwane for non-compliance with Liquor Act, two suspects were arrested for murder and police recovered a firearm with five ammunition believed to have been used during the commission of crime in Tshwane CBD last week.

Furthermore, four suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs, two were found in possession of eleven ammunition.

The flex law enforcement agencies in Littleton arrested two suspects who were driving reckless, during the search one unlicensed firearm was recovered. Among the arrested suspects, 61 were for drunk and driving.

The Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng Lieutenant General Elias Mawela commended the police officers for continuing putting the people of Gauteng first by making sure that wanted suspects who have been on the run were arrested.

The arrested suspects will appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
