Boschkop SAPS in Gauteng is investigating a triple murder.
It is alleged that on Thursday, 29 September 2016 at approximately 14:30, three male suspects were chased by Lethabong community members after they allegedly robbed one of the spaza shops in the Lethabong, Boschkop area.
During the chase, one of the suspects took out a firearm, shot and killed a community member who was among the mob. Two of the suspects were caught by community members and taken to Lethabong where they stoned them to death.
Another group of community members continued to chase the third suspect. A few minutes later, the third suspect, was found and caught while he attempted to hijack a vehicle.
He was also beaten by community members.
The police arrived at the scene and found the three suspects lying on the ground, two were certified dead at the scene and the third suspect was seriously injured.
Police investigations are continuing.
