A 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition this morning after he was stabbed multiple times in the back while walking along Gerrit Maritz Road in Witpoortjie, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene at 11h51 to find the young boy lying face down in the middle of the road. The boy was surrounded by numerous members of the public.
Paramedics assessed the boy, finding him in a critical condition with multiple stab wounds on his back.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment, providing the boy with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, paramedics transported the patient to Laratong Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
