Twelve people were injured Tuesday morning when a taxi collided with a car along Station Street in Carltonville, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing Harduth said.
“One passenger in the taxi was trapped. He was extricated by Fire and Rescue,” Bodasing Harduth said.
“The driver of the car was airlifted.”
She said all other injured people were treated and transported to various hospitals by ambulance.
Authorities were on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
