Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Deliwe De Lange welcomed 1166 new constables that have been deployed in Gauteng.
In her address, the Provincial Commissioner indicated that the constables came at the right time when the province is intensifying police visibility at the malls, shopping centers and recreational places in order for the people in Gauteng to be and feel safe as they enjoy the festive season.
The Provincial Commissioner urged the new constables to go out and paint Gauteng blue and that criminals should feel their presence.
“We expect the new constables to exercise high level of discipline and dedication as they execute their duties at their respective clusters,” alluded the Provincial Commissioner.
