Again attacked by a worker! How many more times is this still going to happen? An elderly couple of Sasolburg has been attacked and seriously injured by a worker who stole about R70 000 from their house on Tuesday 22 September around 18:00. Rina (73) and Hannes Loots (72) found a worker, an black male, in their yard when they arrived home from the shops.
When the couple entered the house, the worker also forced himself into the house through the kitchen door. The worker stabbed the couple with a braai fork several times. The worker stole about R70 000 which was in a camera bag and fled. The couple had to be hospitalized for treatment.
The Police did not arrest the suspect yet.
Attacks and murders by black workers on their white employers, especially elderly people, are becoming more and more common and this can’t be ignored anymore.
Hettie and Lizette Deacon were also recently murdered in Polokwane and their domestic worker of over 2 decades was identified by the Police as the mastermind.
We can only warn people. But we know the next serious attack or murder by a black worker on a white employer is around the corner. It is up to people to change their ways as to who they employ.
