The body of a 44-year-old woman was discovered in her house at Tshiame B near Harrismith after her brother could not get hold of her.
On Monday, 15 January 2024, the brother went to his sister’s house looking for her when he was unable to get hold of her. He immediately summoned the police and an ambulance was called to the house.
Upon the police’s arrival at the house, the door was forced open and the woman was found lying in a pool of blood. The woman appeared to have been severely assaulted. She was declared dead by Emergency Medical Service personnel and she was positively identified by her brother as Puseletso Paulinah Motsimo (44). She stayed with her boyfriend, who was nowhere to be found. A case of murder is being investigated.
