The police are searching for three suspects after a woman was attacked in her house in Ehrlichpark, Bloemfontein.
The incident happened at about 03:00 on 9 February 2024. It is alleged that the dogs were uneased and her husband went outside. He heard screams for help from inside the house as his wife, Elsa van der Walt (55) was attacked by an unknown man with a balaclava and a panga in his hand. A fight ensued and the suspect was hit with a brick on the head. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious wounds all over her body.
When the suspect fled, he had no shirt on, black trousers and a wound on the head.
