The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit members continue to conduct thorough investigation which mostly lead to rapists being removed from the society and victims getting justice ultimately.
Another rapist was slapped with 20 years imprisonment by Virginia Regional Court for raping a woman aged 25 on Friday, 20 March 2020 at about 16:00.
A case of rape was registered and Detective Warrant Officer Jessica Saayman of Lejweleputswa District FCS was assigned to investigate.
The accused was found guilty as charged and sentenced to 20 years in jail and was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
