Two suspects aged 44 and 39 will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court tomorrow, 31 October 2024, on two different charges.

On Tuesday, 29 October 2024 at about 01:00 in the morning, private security companies contacted the Parkweg police station and Bloemfontein Flying Squad about information that led them to an open space at Wilgehof. On arrival, they found the 44-year-old suspect, who was seen feeding dogs polony on the camera before stealing a motorcycle. He was arrested in conjunction with several private security companies and charged with theft of a motorcycle.

The arrested suspect then led police to another house in Phase 10 in Bloemspruit. On arrival in the early hours of today, 30 October 2024 at about 00:10, they found the second suspect, aged 39, in possession of two motorcycles stolen in Universitas, Bloemfontein. They were also reported stolen; Huyosing was reported stolen on 22 October 2024 while a Honda was stolen on 23 October 2024. The suspect was charged with possession of suspected stolen property.

The investigation led by the Bloemfontein Vehicle Crime Investigations Unit continues and the possibility of the suspects being linked to other cases is not excluded.
