At 05H28 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the N1 approximately eight kilometers from the Kroonvaal Plaza.

Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicle were involved in a collision.

Two people sadly were declared deceased on the scene, another two people sustained critical injuries and had to be airlifted by helicopter to hospital and another three people sustained moderate injuries.

Once stabilized all the patients were transported to hospital for further treatment.

Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the SAPS who were on scene.
