The tuck shop owner has been shot and killed by unknown suspect at Dumping Site section of Intabazwe near Harrismith.

It is alleged that on 7 September 2021 at about 20:30 police were busy patrolling when they received a complaint about someone who has been shot and killed at Dumping site at Intabazwe.

On arrival at Malandela spaza shop, they were showed the body of Vian Cyprian Dlamini (25) lying behind the counter inside the spaza shop. He was positively identified by his biological sister as her brother.

She was called at her house by the children after they heard gunshots while they were inside their shack erected next to the spaza shop in the same yard.

It is further alleged that they went to investigate and found their brother lying behind the counter. He was alone in the shop.

He sustained fatal wound on the chest and stomach. The motive behind the shooting is still unknown as it is not clear whether anything was stolen. A case of murder has been opened and is under investigation.
