A truck driver (44) was arrested after dagga was found stashed inside a truck in Bloemfontein.

On Tuesday, 19 July 2022 at about 16:30, Parkroad Crime Prevention working together with Parkroad Highway patrol, reacted on an Intelligence led information about a truck transporting dagga from Swaziland.

The truck was spotted and stopped in Church Street, Bloemfontein, and while searching in the cabin, officers found compressed plastic bags of dagga worth an estimated street value of R100 000-00.

The driver was questioned about the dagga but he failed to give a satisfactory answer.

The 44-year-old man was arrested for dealing in dagga and will appear in the Bloemfontein magistrate court soon.
