A total of three suspects, aged between 32 and 46, were arrested for Stock theft in Kroonstad.
On Thursday, 25 April 2024, the Kroonstad Highway Patrol members were busy with their duties patrolling along the N1 when they spotted a suspicious vehicle.
The team pursued the vehicle until it stopped. The bakkie with three male occupants, was searched and members discovered 20 sheep stuffed at the back of the bakkie.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the sheep were allegedly stolen in Wepener. The white Isuzu bakkie and 20 sheep were confiscated.
The three suspects were arrested and are expected to appear before the court soon.
