Three suspects have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of a 30-year-old man in the Mangaung area in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to police reports, members of the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit in Bloemfontein were on patrol around 01:15 when they received information about a stabbing incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified male victim with a stab wound to the chest.
Acting swiftly, law enforcement gathered critical information about the suspects involved. The investigation led them to multiple addresses in Mangaung, where three male suspects, aged between 20 and 21, were apprehended. Two of the individuals were found with bloodstains on their clothing.
A further search resulted in the recovery of the suspected murder weapon—an Okapi knife with bloodstains—hidden on top of a wardrobe. The suspects were immediately arrested on charges of murder and are expected to appear in court soon.
Police have not yet confirmed a motive for the attack, and investigations remain ongoing.
