A 41 year old suspect is expected to appear at the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court on 29 July 2019, for allegedly attempting to sell an RDP house to a victim.

The suspect allegedly approached the complainant and offered to sell her the said house for R5000 cash, after he claimed that he was an employee of the Dihlabeng Municipality in Bethlehem, a claim the Hawks’ investigation proved to be incorrect.

The complainant played along and reported the matter to the Hawks and the suspect was arrested after he received the R5000. Completed fraudulent documentation were also seized following the arrest.

The suspect is expected to face charges of fraud.
