Quick response by Kroonstad SAPS Rural Safety members led to the arrest of two suspects and recovery of suspected stolen appliances on Wednesday, 22 February 2023.

It is alleged that on the above mentioned date, Kroonstad Rural Safety members were busy patrolling around the CBD when they received a call from one of the cash converters store around town.

Two men aged 23 and 36 went into the store with the purpose to sell the suspected stolen appliances.

Household appliances estimated to the value of R45 000.00 were recovered.

Upon further investigation it revealed that the stolen items were positively linked to a house breaking incident reported at Steynsrus.

The two suspects are arrested and expected to appear before Kroonstad Magistrates’ Court soon.

They will be charged with possession of suspected stolen property.
