Farmer Johannes Petrus du Randt (67) was murdered by two suspects on his farm Elim, outside of Ladybrand on Thursday, April 20.
The suspects stabbed Johannes several times and slit his throat in a horrific manner. On the date of the attack, Johannes’s mom, Anna Albrecht (87) was also in the house but fortunately was not harmed during the incident.
The suspects fled with a firearm.
The police are investigating a case of murder and robbery. No arrests have been made.
