Armed men fired several shots at police after they robbed a General Dealer in Phomolong at Hennenman.

On Sunday 25 September 2022 at 19:30 the complainant was behind the till when four men entered the shop.

The shop owner was pointed with a firearm and ordered to keep quiet. He was pushed to the ground and robbers took cash, cosmetics and cigarettes from behind the counter and customers were also robbed of their cellphones.

When the robbers left the shop they saw a patrolling police vehicle and fired several shots at the police vehicle then fled and disappeared in the dark.

Nobody was injured in the incident but police vehicle was damaged.
