SAPS members were busy at Vehicle Check Point when a Toyota Corolla was stopped and dagga with the street value of R20 000-00 was found and seized. They were apparently from Pietermaritzburg to an unknown destination in Gauteng.

On Sunday, 18 July 2021 at about 13:40 members of Hennenman Visible Policing were busy searching vehicles at vehicle Check Point when a Toyota Corolla Etios was stopped. The purpose to be stopped was explained and request was made to search the vehicle.

While members were busy searching the boot, dagga was found inside plastic bags written names on them.

The driver of a taxi and the three occupants, will be charged with dealing in dagga.

The four suspects will appear on the 20 July 2021 in Hennenman Magistrate Court.
