Vehicle Check Point was held when a white bakkie was stopped and ten black plastic bags full of dagga were seized. Two suspects from Vryheid were arrested.

On 21 July 2021 at about 11:20 members of Thabong Visible Policing held a Vehicle Checkpoint in Mangosuthu Buthelezi drive, led by Colonel Senobia Solomon.

While members were busy with their stop and search, Sergeant Mojalefa Pule and Sergeant Lirontso Hlapho stopped a white open bakkie Kia K2700 with two occupants.

He requested the driver’s license and permission to search the luggage. There were ten black plastics and when the members further investigated, dagga was found to be inside.

The two suspects aged 25 and 28 from Vryheid were arrested. The dagga is estimated to be valued at R37 000-00.

The bakkie was seized and the two suspects will be charged for dealing in dagga.
