The police in the Eastern Free State arrested three suspects on Sunday, April 23, in connection with the murders of Pieter van der Berg (49) and his domestic, Tsietso Matsabisa (55).
Fours suspects were responsible for the shooting and killing of Pieter and Tsietso, fleeing the scene with two firearms.

Following up on leads, and an extensive search by the police for the suspects resulted in the arrest of three in the early hours of Sunday, at the Qibing Township outside Wepener. The fourth suspect who is still on the run is wanted in connection with the murders and the police expect to make an arrest shortly.
