Namahadi police have arrested a couple following the fatal stabbing of a 34-year-old man who allegedly went to their home to collect money.
The victim, identified as Basboy Mofokeng of Qoqolosing, was killed on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at approximately 19:30. According to police reports, Mofokeng had been sent to the couple’s residence at Thaba-Bosiu Village to collect a sum of money. An argument broke out between the parties, escalating into an altercation during which Mofokeng was stabbed with a sharp object below the neck. He died instantly at the scene.
The suspects, a man aged 29 and a woman aged 32, were arrested and charged with murder. They made a brief appearance before the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate’s Court on Sunday, where the case was postponed to 26 May 2026 for further investigation and a formal bail application.
