BLOEMFONTEIN – The police at Parkweg are looking for the suspect in a murder case that occurred in Memorial Road, Uitsig near Bloemfontein. On Friday 18 August 2023, members attended to a scene near Women’s War Museum at about 18:00 and found a white male with a stab wound lying at the roadside.
The paramedics were also summoned to the scene and the victim was declared dead on the scene. The victim’s belongings such as the identity documents, cellphone and wallet were found still in his possession. The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Frederick Christian Van Niekerk by his employer. A case of murder was then opened at Parkweg Police Station.
