Police geared up for a high-density operation in Navalsig under the command of the Provincial Head: Pro Active Policing, Brigadier Veronica Sharneck.

The operation commenced with a roadblock at Rudolf Greyling Road, East End in Bloemfontein, where members checked compliance of motorists and ensuring that no illegal activities took place.

Following the roadblock, the members moved to Olive Hill plots within the vicinity of Navalsig, where several houses known for drug dealing and places operating without liquor licenses were raided.

By the end of the operation, members had successfully stopped and searched over a hundred people.

Of the people searched, one was found in possession of crystal meth and one was drinking in public.

About sixty cars were inspected, which resulted in twelve motorists being issued with traffic fines.

In addition to that, two undocumented persons were arrested and one of them was found to be in possession of illegal rounds of ammunition.

One unlicensed shebeen was closed down, a fine for operating without a liquor license was issued and liquor was confiscated from the very same place.
