The police request the community’s help in finding the mother of a new born baby who was found dead on Sunday, 24 September 2023 at about 12:00 in Thabong.

The police were summoned to a house in Thabong, where, upon arrival, they met with the owner of the house. The owner informed them they had found a small baby lying motionless next to the dog kennel. He wrapped the baby and informed the police. EMS personnel were informed, and the new born baby was certified dead.

Post mortem results revealed that the baby was strangled. The police are therefore looking for the mother of the baby, who might be able to assist in the murder investigation.
