Ficksburg police have arrested a 40-year-old woman from Meqheleng Township for the alleged murder of her two minor children.
A report made on 17 December 2025 initially claimed the children, a boy and a girl aged between three and five, died after buying snacks from a local tuckshop. Investigation on 18 December 2025 found this information to be false and allegedly made under oath.
This led to the arrest and detention of the children’s mother. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
