A 4-year-old girl reported missing was found dead behind the toilet. An inquest was opened for investigation.
On 10 October 2023 at about 17:15, the 25-year-old mother reported her 4-year-old girl child missing at Selosesha after she could not find her.
It is alleged that the little girl requested to go to the toilet outside from her mother and she agreed. Seeing that it had been a long time since she requested to go outside, her mother went to look for her. Selosesha police were called to the scene and a search party joined by the community was launched and the missing person’s file was registered.
This morning, 11 October 2023 at about 06:15, it is alleged that their neighbour made a gruesome discovery, finding the child behind her parent’s toilet. Emergency personnel and police were called to the scene and she was declared dead at the scene.
Selosesha police opened an inquest for further investigation as no visible injuries were found on the child. The postmortem will determine the cause of her death.
