The body of an 8-year-old girl was found in a furrow in Lindley on Tuesday, 5 December 2023 at about 07:30 by community members.
It is alleged that the minor was last seen on 4 December 2023 by her mother and was reported missing at about 22:00 when she did not return home after going out to play with friends.
A case of murder and rape is being investigated.
