An elderly couple was attacked on Friday afternoon by 6 black males wearing police reflective vests.
Farmer Allen Peeters was overpowered outside the farm house by the 6 attackers, 5 of whom had hand guns and one armed with an automatic assault rifle.
Peeters was forced inside the house, assaulted and strangled with a cable tie.
His wife, Louise, was also overpowered when she returned home from Sasolburg and tied up.
The attackers robbed money, jewelry and 5 firearms and fled the farm in a silwer grey Toyota Fortuner and Toyota bakkie with Gauteng number plates.
The couple was able to call for help and Police processed the scene for clues.
No arrests have been made.
