Thabo Mofutsanayana and Mangaung Districts Tactical Response Teams arrested four suspects in Reitz pending alleged armed robbery of large amount of cash from motorist at a suburb of Bethlehem on Thursday, 15 December 2022.

It’s alleged that on Thursday, 15 December 2022 the driver of a bakkie was accosted by a grey Toyota sedan with Lesotho registration numbers by armed suspects who robbed him cash that was to be paid to his workers at his business place.

The suspects were armed and fled the scene with the said vehicle which went viral on social media.

A case of armed robbery was opened and under investigation. The vehicle was spotted around Reitz and police seized cash in possession of the suspects.

The four suspect, two males and women from Harankopane Village in Qwaqwa are expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate court on Monday, 19 December 2022 for armed robbery.
