On 22 May 2022, at about 01:00, a house owner alleged that a number of unknown people surrounded his house and threatened him. He was reportedly threatened that they are going to kill him and doors were kicked.
The complainant managed to escape from his house through a bedroom window and one of the suspects noticed him escaping and gave chase. Several shots were fired in his direction however, he was not injured.
When he was still in the nearby bush he could see when the kitchen was set alight and the next moment the entire house burnt to ashes. The two vehicles drove off.
The incident was reported to Virginia SAPS and a case of Arson was registered. The suspects are still at large.
