AfriForum is ready to assist farm owners in the Free State and to protect them against illegal land grab actions after Mandisa Makesini, EFF Leader in the Free State, stated earlier this week that the EFF will soon start to randomly occupy farms in the Free State.
AfriForum has especially over the past two years proven that the organisation is a formidable opponent of illegal land grabs. The organisation successfully assisted various innocent communities and landowners to get their land back and remove the illegal occupiers and trespassers.
“AfriForum already has contingency plans in place and hints available to assist landowners in the case of a land grab. Members of the public are encouraged to take these hints to heart and to contact AfriForum immediately if a land grab takes place,” says Marnus Kamfer, AfriForum’s Legal and Risk Manager for Community Safety.
“Communities are encouraged to be prepared, to be aware of what is happening on their property and to keep a watchful eye on their neighbour’s property to stop possible land grabs early,” concludes Kamfer.
The hints and land grab guide are available on request.
