It is alleged that the deceased and his brother were busy digging gold when four African men approached and fatally shot the deceased.
A manhunt has been launched to trace the murderers.
On the 6 May 2022 at 08:00 the deceased and his brother were busy digging behind Target One Mine at an open field in Allanridge.
Apparently they were approached by four unknown African men and the victim was fatally shot on his right cheek and died on the spot. The Medical Personnel Services were summoned to the scene and certified him dead.
A case of murder was registered for further investigation. The motive of the killing is currently unknown.
