House robbery: Woman (69) tied up, throat slit, Bayswater

The police in Mangaung Metro launched a manhunt after the house robbery and murder of 69-year-old woman in Gelderland Street in Bayswater near Bloemfontein on 23 November 2021, at about 11:40.

According to the husband of the deceased, he left their home going to the pharmacy. The complainant allegedly left his wife with the gardener at home.

When he arrived back at home, he found his wife lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit and her hands tied behind her back.

He ran around looking for the gardener whom they recently offered the job but he was nowhere to be found.

The complainant then called the police. The police arrived, secured the scene and preliminary investigation started. A wallet with an undisclosed amount of cash was reportedly missing and the victim’s handbag was found dropped outside the house inside the premises.
