Parkweg police launched a manhunt for 7 suspects, 3 females and 4 males, after a house robbery and attempted murder of a 58-year-old man.
On 15 September 2025, at approximately 14:40, police responded to a complaint in Wilgehof. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a wound to the back of his head. He was attended to by paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
It is alleged that two women initially approached the victim’s home asking for water. After he provided them with water, they left; the same two women returned a short time later, this time with an additional woman and four men. The group then forced their way into the house, attacked the victim with a panga, and tied his hands with an electrical cord. They proceeded to ransack the house, stealing some household items and clothing before fleeing the scene.
No arrests have been made yet and Parkweg police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Captain Moseme at 082 526 2713 or the Crime Stop hotline at 08600 10111. Or submit an anonymous tipoff via the MySAPS App.
