Elderly people in South Africa continue to be violently attacked, Petro Schmidt (79) was attacked whilst home alone at her home in Faunasig, Bloemfontein on Tuesday 19 November 2019. She was found stabbed several times by an attacker who invaded her home.
Schmidt was seriously injured in the attack and was found in her home by a bible group that who then alerted her husband. It seems that only a few jewelry items were robbed during the invasion.
Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
