Hertzogville famer alerts police to stock thieves on his farm, 1 suspect arrested

On 5 July 2022 at about 23:58, a famer notified Hertzogville police about sheep stolen from his farm by four unknown men.

Constables Olebogeng Moremi and Betta Thipe of Hertzogville SAPS Visible Policing responded instantly and arrested a 33-year-old man on the scene.

Three other suspects managed to flee and disappeared in the dark.

The ten sheep valued at R25 000-00 stolen from the farm were recovered and handed back to the farmer.

A case of stock theft and possession of suspected stolen livestock was registered.

The 33-year-old man will appear on the 7 July 2022 in the Hertzogville Magistrate Court.
