It is alleged that on Thursday 9 September 2021, at about 21:50 the 35-year- old man from Meqheleng was driving home and met with three unknown men who tried to stop him but did not stop. After he parked the vehicle in his yard in Zone Two he heard sound of gunshots and ran into the house.
Gunshots continued while he was inside the house but no one was injured in the process.
The police were summoned to the scene where they discovered that the vehicle was damaged and they confiscated R4 spent cartridges around the scene.
The police are still searching for these suspects believed to be heavily armed.
According to the complainant, cash to the amount of thirteen thousand rand and two cellphones which were inside the vehicle were missing.
