On Thursday 13 May 2021 at about 06:38 a goods train collided with a bakkie at a railway crossing near Alpha farm, in Thaba Nchu district.
The train driver alleges that he noticed a white bakkie on the level crossing and tried to warn the driver but the bakkie remained stationary until the two collided.
The two farm workers who were allegedly on patrol on the night of 12 May 2021 around the farm were declared dead.
A case of culpable homicide has been registered for investigation.
