Farmer shot for a cellphone – Free State

Farmer ambushed while returning to his farm Howie near the Pekabrug border, close to Lesotho on Sunday March 12.

Nicky Haddad and a friend were returning from town around 14H00 when two suspects attacked and shot him in the arm and leg. The friend was unharmed.

The suspects fled on foot towards the Lesotho border with a mobile phone.

The police were alerted and are investigating the matter.

Haddad was transferred to hospital and currently receiving treatment.
