A planned farm attack on the farm Goedgedacht on the S713 road, in the Vredefort district, of Pieter and Erna Rademan was foiled after information was received by farmers and the SAPS and followed up. On Sunday night 19 January 2020, the members of the Vredefort CPF observed a red Polo and white Isuzu bakkie with GP registration plates and alerted the SAPS and the farmer.
A roadblock was set up at the farm and when the vehicles approached the attackers in the red Polo did a u-turn and sped off.
The CPF, local farmers and the SAPS were very well organised and managed to arrest six attackers, recover three firearms and confiscate the two vehicles. The veld and surrounding area is also being searched for other firearms and weapons. There is no other information available at this stage.
