A farm was raided in Vrede, in the Free State province of South Africa. The incident was reported on 31 May 2020 by the owners who discovered the farmhouse plundered, furniture destroyed and various items stolen, including cash a vehicle and tools. The owners discovered the heads of 25 sheep, who had recently given birth, laying around and the young lambs were desperate for milk. The savagery of the slaughter was reported on social media.
The owners were grateful that they were not on the farm during the raid as it is quite possible that the would have ended up as another farm attack statistic.
